BlackMetal

Black Metal is a side scrolling shoot em up with all the classic
features: carnage, mayhem and big ass end of world bosses.
The game contains jaw dropping graphics, smooth gameplay and a
classic game feeling it should be jumping out of your phone soon.

1. Menu navigation

The menu is pretty easy to navigate. Use the up and down keys on
your handset to browse thru the menu options, and use the
fire/action key to trigger or toggle the option.
When you are in a game and you want to pause or change
graphics/audio settings simply press the * key and this will
put you back in the menu.

* Load Game/Unpause
This option will either place you in the world
and level of your last game, or unpause a currently
running game (after pausing or incoming phone calls).
When you start a new game this will be reset to the world
you reach in the new game

* New game
This option will start a new game.

* Skirmish
The skirmish game option is used for a random game on any
of the already unlocked worlds. It will create a random
world on every game.

* Help
Shows quick help on how to move and shoot in the game

* Graphics
Switches between high/low graphics. For slower phones its
advised to put graphics on low (leaving away the background
in change of more speed

* Quit
Quits the game

The top part of the menu will swap between the logo and the highscores.



2. Moving around

You controll the space ship with the movement directional pad or incase
your phone doesn't have this the keys: 2(up), 4(left), 6(right),
8(down) and the 1,3,7,9 to move diagonally.

Shooting is done automatic for your normal weapon, in some cases it
will be required to have a bit more power and controll and for those
moments you can use your megablast weapon by pressing the 5 key.
This weapon is only available if its fully charged (see the second
energy bar in the status panel).


3. Weapon upgrades

At the bottom of the display there is a HUD bar displayed, this
shows your current upgrades being highlighted. With every powerup
picked up your ship will be upgraded, with the last upgrade being
an extra life after wich you start with a basic weapon again.

Next to upgrade pods you will find some energy icons in some of the levels,
these will refill your energy to 100%, however you can also increase
your energy with small bursts by collecting the coins that the aliens
will release when shot
